House HuntingLightningText Box: Fifteen year old Great Nephew Steven Monahan is known as Lightening in Virginia’s Fluvanna County High School Baseball circuit. I recently went to Virginia to spend four days with my sister Angela and family and got to see Steven in action. His on base percentage is pretty high and when he makes it on base, it’s a given he will be stealing every base to position himself for the home stretch. I was shocked to see how fast he really was. Most other teams will not even look to throw him out for fear of an error costing run. My niece Lisa, Steven’s mother, says that it’s amazing with his blazing speed he still can’t make it to the school bus on time and always has to be driven.
Text Box: On my most recent Virginia trip, I got to spend some real quality time with my nieces, Lori and Lisa. Angela, stayed with mom and took care of the home front while I just got enough free time to enjoy the girls. Don’t get me wrong, my sister and I along with mom and all the kids did some roaming around and of course EATING everywhere we went. Great Nephew Steven and I even Text Box: went house hunting. I love looking at houses and getting ideas. Steven played my son for our model house visits. In the beginning while I was talking to sales people, Steven was confused, but after a short time, he understood and played right along. His performance as a liar was flawless.
Text Box: Extremely rare photo of my niece Lori Maher Madison’s three cherubs. From left to right, Gina, Anthony, and Vincent.
Text Box: To the left cousins Aidan and Elijah McCullough at the opening day Little League Parade. Rachele, is keeping in step. To the right, when she’s not making pizzas with mom and dad, cousin Olivia Schwartz is reading recipes.
