Text Box: Fifteen year old Great Nephew Steven Monahan is known as Lightening in Virginia’s Fluvanna County High School Baseball circuit. I recently went to Virginia to spend four days with my sister Angela and family and got to see Steven in action. His on base percentage is pretty high and when he makes it on base, it’s a given he will be stealing every base to position himself for the home stretch. I was shocked to see how fast he really was. Most other teams will not even look to throw him out for fear of an error costing run. My niece Lisa, Steven’s mother, says that it’s amazing with his blazing speed he still can’t make it to the school bus on time and always has to be driven.

In the beginning while I was talking to sales people, Steven was confused, but after a short time, he understood and played right along. His performance as a liar was flawless.
